🎉 What an Amazing Day at Assiniboine Park! The Great Canadian Kilt Skate was an absolute success- the perfect weather and beautiful pond ice made for an unforgettable gathering of Scots and friends. More than 80 adults, children, and friends joined the festivities, creating an energizing atmosphere. Shoutout to the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada for their participation and incredible bagpiper performance. A huge thanks to all the Scottish groups and individuals (Lads and Lasses, who encouraged people to country dance, Kid in Kilts, Manitoba Historical Society, the Sinclair and Stewart Clans), Cathy Lever-Wright and others who added to the excitement! The Kilt Skate Clash of the Tartans trivia quiz hosted by Event Chair Evelyn Mitchell was a fun way to end the day. The Scot spirit truly shone through, with our event even catching the attention of CBC and CTV. What an epic celebration of Scottish tradition and good times! 🏴🥳 #KiltSkate2024 OttScot2024 #ScotsKnowHowToParty
